Everton takeover

The consortium seem to think they can improve profitability by widening the club's business to a more diverse "entertainment" business. No mention of investment in the playing squad. I can envisage this type of takeover being a negative move.

It doesn't threaten City. "A Consortium" by definition implies that no one individual can afford such a takeover.

On the face of it doesn't seem like the type of owners that are going to spend big.

thats what i thought, a bit of a shoping arena to sell slices of pzza's to the bin dippers, maybee a bowling aley, sounds like the investment they deserve

"this consortium want to keep fans at the club after the game, offering them restaurants and a football village to spend their money in – it’s about making an entire match day experience."

Do this consortium realise they are taking over EVERTON? What makes them think that the average northern football fan has any change left in their pockets for restaurants and fancy clothes shopping after forking out to watch a prem football match?

Hmmm.....I read the article to the end.....

"While talks with Everton, owned by the theatre impresario Bill Kenwright, are the most advanced, the source said Nathaniel has been instructed to approach several clubs – one of which is Everton’s Merseyside rivals, Liverpool.

“Talks have happened with the people who instruct on [Liverpool owner] Tom Hicks’ behalf, but it’s very early stages and it will take time.” confirmed the source.

“The client has requested a lot of information and until that is back, they can’t rule Liverpool out.”

Can we delete all talk of Everton from the board. We don't want to give the horrible dipping twats another excuse to invade us.
