Everton Thread 2019/20

This guy is pretty reliable !

Big coup for Everton

Absolutely. I can't think of anything huge ( signing wise) Everton have done in 20 years apart from re-sign an over the hill Rooney. This would be a huge statement and maybe get the best out of Kean too. Good luck to them

Unless you think Ancelotti is coasting and living off past glories. DO these coaches put in the same effort they did when they were 40?

It might not at that level be all about workrate, it might be more about insight and the quality of decisions, but I think your desire to win, and demands you make on others has a domino effect.

I would go for Howe, Potter or a coach like that. Not a big name in his 60s. Wenger most definitely reached a sell by date. What happened at Nappoli this season?

I might be wrong, I just have suspicions.

I don't know what happened with the president. The whole situation was weird, but that's Italian football for you, I never try to make head to tail of it.

No matter where he's gone he's a winner, he gets medals, he lifts the team and fecks off. The amount of money Everton have pumped into the team the last few years you would expect them to knock on the top 6

You’d expect. Iwobi managed to help take arsenal to 6th since his debut.

Albeit from 2nd.

big appointment, hopefully he is given the budget, can gut the squad from their perspective and is going there to commit to a project and is hungry for it. Didn't quite get over the line at Napoli which is unfortunate, he's always been a stronger European cup manager than league so hopefully turns it round.

They can't get a bigger name so hopefully it's all for the right reasons.

On paper it sounds like a good appointment but I'm not so sure. Time will tell.
