Liking the fact Everton finally turned the corner. But still think few players short in certain positions

Need a GK
Need a CB
Need a Forward - Moise Kean was a terrible buy
Need a backup for Allan.

The move was. Finish wasn’t. Lucky it went in. I don’t rate Calvert Lewin at all. He tries hard and gets himself about but he’s not top quality. I think the Everton players make him look better than he is. A top striker would really help push the team on. Hopefully you can cash in on him for £50m to United or something as he’s definitely in a purple patch.

Some really good players at Everton now though and Coleman back fit is a great boost. Once Holgate is back as well that’ll definitely help the defence out. Not convinced with Pickford.

a reasonable start but apart from spurs away maybe, games you would expect to win. squad is not strong in depth and few injuries will impact masssively. we have improved for sure especially in midfield but top 4 , can't see it.

Another hat-trick for Calvert-Lewin.
I think Calvert-Lewin is a hugely improved player since Ancelotti went in there. In fact he is on the same sort of transformation that Raheem has made since Pep arrived. It just shows you what a difference great coaching can make if players are prepared to work.
Contrast that with someone like Rashford who has great talent but has gone backwards at United.

I think if you could replace Pickford then everything would change. Everton have got a great opportunity to kick on now as a club. If they do so then they will attract external investment like we achieved with our new stadium. They can't blow this opportunity as it may not come round again. City, Chelsea, United , Spurs, and Arsenal are all enduring transition periods and there is a chink of light to go for.

pickford gets a lot of criticism, most of it fairly possibly. i was never a big fan of DCL but a combination of confidence/duncan ferguson / ancelotti has obviously helped him. along with no crowds in stadium which has possibly helped us more than we accept as the fans were losing patience with a lot of the players. blowing opportunities is our trademark but we can only hope
