it's been a long time coming and until it happens i will not believe it. the kings dock/ destination kirkby projects still rankle. but i agree it will be a great move and the legacy of leaving goodison to the community for mental health and other projects is one that the club should be very proud of.

When I started watching football in the late 60s Everton were the major club on Merseyside. It is time you got back to the top table. The new stadium by the river makes Everton a very attractive investment prospect.
The only thing standing in your way are the fraudulent FFP regulations and the corrupt cartel (led by LFC) which still has a very powerful influence in English and European football. You can be sure LFC will try every dirty trick in the book to stop any threat from Everton. City and Everton have always been much closer to their local communities than our mutual enemies in red.

Yes I know. Not the smartest move but I suspect their owners may now take a different view. To progress Everton will need a huge short-term investment to make them sustainable long-term, just as City needed. You can't build any business without investment.
I am not sure if the current owners have deep enough pockets but there is no reason why Everton can't copy City's very successful community business model of working in partnership with the local council, local universities, local schools, development firms etc etc. Sheikh Mansour has made a lot of profit from his property investments in Manchester and every house built, every hotel, every sport and science institute developed adds more value the flagship asset...the football club.
The owners of Everton can build the value of the club and then sell a stake in the club to cover the costs of their initial outlay. Sheikh Mansour got every penny back from his purchase of City 24 when he sold a stake to the Chinese and US consortiums.
 
Can we please stop with the Everton love-in and get back to irrational hatred for all things scouse. Let’s not forget how much they fucking hated us under Moyes and celebrated like they’d won the world fucking cup when Gibson scored to beat us in 2012. And thought putting coach windows in was the duty of every scouser when we ventured to Goodson. My enemy’s enemy is my fiend? Fuck that. Fuck them.

Many of us have got shit memories of Goodison and I definitely know where you’re coming from but for me this present influx of Everton fans is quite refreshing and I’ll treat people as I find them thanks.

In all fairness, I forgave any bitterness & hatred they’d shown towards us after the takeover when they got that 4-4 at Old Trafford.

Plus I can relate to them having to put up with friends & relatives rubbing their noses in a lack of trophies recently.
 
I fucking hated Everton fans especially after sitting next to the cunts in the 11/12 season but the ones who post on here are alright, suppose sharing a city with the cult wears on the soul.
 
Over here, we have a good proportion of Toffees due to our geographical location, and they all despise the Cult.

As we know, it's mainly due to the slaying of 39 innocent Italians on Belgian soil, and the impact it had on their club when they had a cracking team that could have competed if not dominated for a significant period, and not the 5 or 6 years that they did.
