I honestly think the situation at Everton was worse than thought, as proved by lack of transfer activity. Any money from the sale of Gordon has possibly been used to pay off Lampard etc and take on Dyche etc. There will be a section of fans who will protest, especially if the board turn up at the stadium - which they have every right to do sadly. In not attending games what message would that give to a new manager.
As a supporter you support the club and that's all that matters. My gut feeling is this is the season we go down, as you can't keep riding your luck as we have. People will say we're deluded and as a fanbase we should lower our expectations, possibly an element of truth in that. But as a club this week has been as bad as any re positivity and I remember the Mike Walker years !

My brother's going on a protest organised by NSNOW, whoever they are.

I'm not sure how I feel about the lack of transfers. Panic buying has cost us in the past and frankly the last thing we need to do right now is spunk money we haven't got on players who may or may not turn out to be crap. Chelsea are doing it because the idiots never learn.

Reminds me of how it used to be at City with Swales.
One thing Dyche will do is make you hard to beat, and a couple of decent results can change the whole outlook. There's a lot of football to play yet so who knows?

Yep 15 points from 20 games, so 18 left 6 wins, 6 draws, 6 losses gets you to 39, so could probably do with some bounce soonish during Feb, hopefully on Sat.

I look at our fixtures and think anywhere between 19 - 25 points is optimistically achievable ( emphasis on word optimistically). We need almost a 33% increase in form to achieve a possible 39 points. That's a huge bounce but if Dyche can do it with this squad he can stay till June 23 :-)

The fact that they want all the Gordon money upfront says a lot about the dire situation It’s well known that Moshri is Usmanov’s puppet and his funds are somewhat locked by the Ukraine invasion

This job is a great incentive for Dyche to prove himself again. Similar to Joe Royle at City - he knows if he keeps them out of the shit he will be a King. I think he will do it and one or two others around Everton will lose their bottle.........but we'll see.
