Shame for Everton fans. Hopefully City can brighten Sat lunchtime for them. I will hold judgment until the facts are known. The premier league haven’t got a fucking clue. Where is ffp protection now? Oh that’s right it was changed to punish any club who tries to compete. What happened to stopping clubs going bust?

Lying bastards, sucking the red teet!

So the Rags are £600m in debt because of gross mis-management and Yank owners who have got their noses in the trough , Everton's owner has invested , probably poorly , but he is carrying the can and investing more in way of a new stadium , and yet Everton are being investigated for FFP.
Football is a weird world where owners are restricted from spending their own money to improve an asset in their possession , no other business model can compare to this lunacy , its only purpose is to keep clubs and owners with ambition in there plac.
The elitist cartel of european clubs are quite happy with the status quo and no one breaking into their little self serving club , you can guarantee ourselves , Newcastle & PSG will be hounded for a few more seasons but they will eventually realise that these three clubs are not going away anytime soon

If you read the auditors notes it's blindingly obvious why FFP is needed. Everton's owner has written a non binding letter to say he will cover the losses, say he decides to cut his losses then Everton are f**ked, not my opinion but the official opinion of the Everton board.

I'm not looking for a scrap here but I think the big problem Man City fans have is they assume all rich owners have the same intentions as your owners. Most billionaires are crooks, most are c**ts, in the case of Moshiri its not even clear if he has the money at all, certainly doesn't look like he can pay for the stadium out of his own pocket.

Everton are the classic example of a badly run club, 100s of millions spent on a squad that has no saleable assets and a half built stadium. The report states Everton could fold if they are relegated. If that happens who do you think Everton fans will be blaming when they're walking the parks with Bury fans on Saturday afternoons with nothing to do? Will it be the league that said you can't make losses like that or the men that gambled their future like a drunken sailor?

So let’s look when Abramovich owned the Chav’s with his investment and 1.6b soft loan. Chelsea get relegated and Abramovich dies (doesn’t matter how). His next of kin call in the 1.6b, there’s no Champiins Leaguefor the following season, no Premier League money and all sources of revenue cut but still huge player contracts to fulfil.

Abramovich doesn’t own the ground and Chelsea is a hugely devalued asset, how do they cope? Surely this was the main point of FFP but in this unlikely scenario it’s failed. An insurance loss adjuster once said to me “if something can happen you have to make provision for it to happen”.

Everton are being shafted here, not to the letter of the FFP laws but as a comparison with those clubs carrying debt and taking the piss out of loop holes that have been manipulated over the years.

I think I remember @tolmie's hairdoo debunking this in one of these threads...
Latest independent circulation figures shows best selling paper is the fail with just under 800k per day. However the Sun doesn’t release their figure unless, if you want to advertise, you sign an NDA! Their last independently audited figure was in March 2020 and was 1.2m.

The Abramovich and Glazer models are both hugely flawed but they were in before FFP. Neither model should be allowed happen again. Arsenal, Brighton and Brentford are living proof from this season that you can compete by being smart and sustainable.

Oh ffp rules brought in to stop clubs going of existence! In fact since it’s been brought in there been more clubs in trouble since the history of the game! Maybe the football authorities keep there fucking noses out of football club’s business! Since the yanks come Into football it’s gone one way to control football clubs! We sat back and let it happen!
