Bad few years for Fat Frank. Watched his team and players he bought win the champions league then he joins Everton who were as naff as his signings.

I'm sure the 15m compensation will ease the pain.

I like the bloke as a person but he was promoted well beyond his means. Only exceptional potential managers can walk into a top job and be a success, most do the hard yards learning their trade at lesser jobs.

Trust the wankers to save all their shitehousery and effort for our game, then get battered by everyone else since.

Can’t see how he repairs his already rank managerial career from here. He needs to wrap it up, disappear from the game or go abroad and try to repair it.

For me he simply isn’t up to this part of the game.

Shame. Too nice a guy to handle the rough and not so smooth of a PL team that hasn't got the players to secure the points at Goodison against teams that are not very good. I think it will not bother Frank one jot - he's too level-headed and he's been sacked before!

I actually think Frank could be a decent manager. I think the problems go way above him, and I think he's struggled to find a team that could click. He's not blameless though, they've been trying to play a style of football they just can't play successfully. He probably should have accepted that how they played against us was probably what they needed to do in all games. Sit deep, ping ball forward and fight. At Goodison they can beat anyone with the fans behind them, but Lampard going and a new man coming in might rejuvenate things.

You look at the 11 that played West Ham and it just lacks quality in almost every position. A striker who had one good half a season. Two wingers who have the odd good game and then do nothing for the next ten. Gueye who wasn't great before he left the first time round. Coleman still starts. Tarkowski and Coady have been in teams relegated/fighting for survival. They're okay but they're not at the level Everton should be with the money they've spent. And then to make matters worse Davies and McNeil are the two subs who come on to try and changes things.

They're a win from safety so all to play for. Would have been better to bring someone in for the Southampton and West Ham games arguably...but maybe a couple of freebies is what's needed for the new man.

Must have someone lined up. I said Dyche earlier today and unless they’re bringing big fat Sam in, I can’t think of anyone else available to get them out of the season they’re going to have next season. Got to be planning for that.
I find it amazing how many times clubs sack the manager without having somebody to takeover. I predict Big Dunc's Mrs is at the dry cleaners with his suit right now.
