Everton Thread | 2024/25

They remind me us and could well follow our lead and go down a couple of divisions.
They’ve danced with the devil plenty. I think they could go this season, wfuch is unfortunate given their stadium move next season.

Oh well.

Who are they going to get that had a better chance of keeping them up?

I get they haven’t been winning games or scoring, but there attack is poor. I think there relying on defence to keep them up
What about Lopetegui ? Don’t Managers just keep getting recycled, sign multi year contracts, get fired early, take a big severance package then sign for a new Club. Everton sounds perfect for him and vice versa.

Moyes is the obvious one.

They can’t be relegated. Not with that new stadium on the horizon. It’d ruin them financially.

Mourinho is the ‘exciting’ name (in terms of being more fashionable than Moyes from a commercial perspective) but it’s 50-50 how that could go. Is it really worth the risk for it to potentially fail AND need to pay him off for millions? Not for me.

Seems a bit strange this sacking, they’d most likely been ok till end of season why not make the change then ..
Agreed.

Dyche would have kept them in the league 100%, He's been keeping a really poor group of players in the league the last few seasons and done well by doing that.

I genuinely think there's a big chance of them being relegated now.

The fans have got Ronald Koeman and Marco Silva out the door in previous seasons too, So what exactly do they want?

Anything above 18th place is good for them with the squad of players they have and the financial situation they find themselves in.

Perhaps that's the reason
They know they have enough to stay up, so get the new person in place and he/she has five months to see exactly what they need and who needs to go

Moanhino will want lots of money to spend, so I really don't see him as a permanent Everton manager
He wouldn't even move into a house when he was at the rags, which proved he has no commitment

Stinks to me of another potential PSR failure which could relegate them.

Well, that's some timing. No fucking around with American owners
