Everton v City post match

Still hoping he'll get it right but showing the same pigheadedness as our last manager.

This playing out from the back isn't working we spend 3/4 passes too long fucking about until we get under pressure then instead of a quick attach with half the other team out of position we scrape it into midfield and start umbrella passing again while they all get back.

It's shite and I'd expect a worldclass manager to either get the players doing it properly or if they can't actually coach and adapt a system to suit.

Some of our passing & movement first half today against a team full of defenders was as good as anything I've ever seen in the prem.

The problem came from Clichy lumping it followed by shite defending.

We don't have enough firepower...only one striker with 20 goals in him. I thought we were short at start of season...but it is glaring now :-(

Doesn't help when the one we do have strolls round the pitch for 90 minutes as though he couldn't care less. Pray that Jesus is up to the mark cos Kelechi ain't the answer, simply awful when he came on

One of the few negative things I will say about the match (there is plenty of that going around already) is that I wish Nico would stop the play acting. It is embarrassing and further tarnishes our image in the eyes of the media, neutrals, and opposing supporters, which lends to the booing and anti-City atmosphere that seems to be building these days. It's one thing to play in a stadium full of supporters singing on their team but it's another when every arse is motivated to boo and scream abuse at all of our players for merely being there. And the media will start painting a picture of us being sore losers or an underhanded team, which will not go down well with our owners. We already have the end of the Chelsea match to try to move past.

Won't be here next season

What is amazing is that after some piss poor performances we are only 3 points behind Liverpool.
Spurs look like Chelsea's only serious threat.

Totally agree but Nico is probably too long in the tooth to change now, he's not even clever with it.

Maybe if Guardiola stopped telling everyone how well he did at his former clubs & accepted that he is now managing a team playing in the Premier League in England I wouldn't get texts telling me we said we'd got the Messiah but ended up with Brian!!! Once more in his Press Conference he had to refer back to his time on the continent but without any answers as to what he's going to do!!
I'm too angry to put together a rational post as to why we mucked it up........ we were rubbish!

They just asked Carragher what he thought of the 'quality' in their game.

There was hardly any from either side.

The only side to produce a highish standard at both ends so far this season, consistently, is Chelsea.
