Everton V City post match

The passing was poor and Merlin should have been subbed 70 minute mark for me as he was not having the best game ( freekick aside).

KDB offered more drive and guile when he came on and definitely needs to start on Sunday.
Silva however, appears to have built up a bit of a relationship with Leroy, which gave Kenny nightmares at right back
Azpilicueta is a better right back than Kenny, and good going forward, so think he'll stick with David.

No, not that kind of relationship.
Really, some people on here!

Have to disagree. De Bruyne has now appeared in 18 games this season, 17 as sub or substituted. City have scored 33 and only conceded twice while he was on the pitch. In the same games city have scored 21 and conceded 8 without him.

When De Bruyne is on the pitch we don't lose. That's a fact in the current season.

Sorry, but regardless of goals scored or conceded with De Bruyne on the pitch (distorted incidentally by his late appearance and fluke goal in a game we still lost against Palace), you're replying to something that I didn't actually say.

De Bruyne started at Leicester and Newcastle, and was largely anonymous in a disappointing team performance at both grounds.

Last night, he was great, but we need the De Bruyne of 17/18: not the peripheral player from previous seasons.

Pretty sure that he wore it at Chelsea when we lost then he stopped wearing it for a bit, I assume he thought it was "lucky" until then.

God, now what do we do...? Campaign for him to start with the Stone Island?

I'm going to be worried if he's wearing it on Sunday now... :(

12 wins out of the last 13 games but to read this thread you’d swear the Newcastle result was the norm! As for the match thread, Christ I’ve never seen anything like it!
Last night we controlled the game almost completely. Everton, by common consent, ‘played really well’. They had one shot on target that I’d have saved, whilst we had 15 attempts. It’s not FIFA this football lark it’s bloody hard and nothing comes easy in this league. We’ve got a team full of winners and character in abundance, one of the finest coaches who has ever lived and the knowledge that we’ve done this before. It’s time for us to do our bit and get right behind the team, every game they play, whether they’re having a bit of an off day or not. What a month May could be.....
will you please quit talking sense ??

Just reading that Stones clapped the Gwladys St as he went off and seems to have been well received.

Was a time when there was a fair bit on ill feeling between City and Everton but seems to have died down. Perhaps it was because they kept beating us.
it may be that they have now realised that when they sold Lescott to us they got the better half of the deal.

Unfortunately, Bournemouth have lost all their away games since the end of October, by up to 5-0. Statistically, Liverpool couldn't have an easier game.

But you never know!

Yes I hold out no hope whatsoever really. I know they proved a difficult opponent at our place but I think 3 or 5-0 tomorrow for the dippers. At their place it can be a pretty torrid afternoon but away they are useless.
