Everton V City post match

Was in one of the boxes at Everton today, so saw a completely different side to the game than normal. I’ve had a few, but a couple of obversations...

1) Being practically pitch side it makes you actually appreciate how little space their actually is, especially at a tight ground like Everton.

2) We’re weren’t at our best, but this was a scrappy performance that wins titles.

3) City fans were top class. All you could hear from the otherside of the ground.

4) That Liz from Atomic Kitten called me a wanker for celebrating over vigorously in hospitality section.

5) Peps blood pressure must be incredibly high. I was ten meters from him and he kicked every single ball - his passion and desire for perfection are incredible.

6) The Liverpool season ticket holder taxi driver who took me back to Lime Street is already making excuses. We weren’t ten points ahead, we draw games and you lose them, blah blah blah. They are cracking up.

7) Bernardo Silva

Feels like one of those games we will look back on as a critical one.
Everton made it hard for us; they were very energetic and physical - one mistake could easily have cost us two points.

The goal at the end was a great bonus, and again could be a vital one.

A big question for me is how much will the game have taken out of the players ahead of the weekend

Feels a little like Southampton did last season (without the late winner, of course).

I think, if anything, this will help us kick on.
