Everton Vs City Post Match Discussion Thread

Can someone please let me know when we "kick start" our season and the rags go through their bad patch. Ta.

Re: Silva...

No space today, only got a bit of joy in the last 15 minutes, you expect that against Everton.

How exactly is Garcia horrific? or has under performed?

His job is to win the ball and pass it. He wins a lot of headers both defending and attacking.

De Jong did the same job apart from winning any headers or scoring goals yet is lauded as a God on here.

didn't have a bad game and kept the ball well, but fuck me he's limited

Re: Silva...

The lads really timid in front of goal as are the whole team right now, makes you wonder wtf mancini is teaching this once ruthless side. He still brilliant but he is slowing the team right now hopefully next year we can have two quality wide player who will stretch play and give him the space he needs to thrive.

Fucking hell. Brain fart today. For some reason I thought we were paying at 1245 tomorrow. Just tapped into BBC sport app and saw the score and thought it was a mistake. Good job I didn't watch by the sounds of it.

Re: Silva...

Silva not at his best, and in my opinion he hasn't been all season, not the player he was last season that's for sure. But neither are any of the other players. Lets face it, we lost the league when we bought the wrong players in the summer, then not buying anyone during January, letting Balo go with no replacement - all along with a dip in form from most of our big players and some bad luck in the injury department, we needed to buy well and didn't. Today was a great example of the points made above.

The saddest indictment for me is we are not going out like Champions should.

There is a lack of intensity and a malaise that is just plainly wrong.

Milner and Barry's quality on the ball was zero.

Tevez was easily our star man again. Also thought Kolo did well up against Anichebe.

I can't see how anyone can be suprised by this today. It was absolutely nailed on, especially when Yaya Toure bottled out before the game. This fixture is an absolute god send for anyone wanting to make easy money from the bookies. 14/5 was an absolute steal.

Bottled out !! Have you ever suffered from migraine soft arse ?? It aint just a bad headache you know !!

Actually I have smartarse, and there is medication available that will wipe it out almost straight away.
And there are migraines that no matter what medicine or what amount you take will not be relieved for up to three days and I know because I suffer from them so please remember that like most illnesses (& migraine is an illness not 'just' a headache) there are differing levels of pain & sickness. You'd rather have Ya Ya spewing up all over the playing field would you? Or struggling to even walk never mind run!!

I shook my head in dismay when I saw a midfield of

Kolarov---Barry---Garcia----Milner

That's about as average as it gets.

Only Barry has been anything like value for money but his time is coming to a close as a starter.

Kola and Garcia need moving on.

When yer get this midfield, the hope is that the oppo midfield is wretched, and how many PL midfields are wretched. Certainly not the EFC midfield today!
