Winds of up to 90 mph in the North West on Friday and Saturday. Could be as bad as Sunderland (H) - the first time - last season.

No need to exaggerate , forecast 30 mph in Dipperland on Saturday. That's high ,but it's not the 90mph you've quoted.
One figure is sustained winds, the other is gusts.

The next 3 league games are going to be the most critical of our season, in my veiw.

Assuming that Dzeko or Kun will not be match fit for any of them, I was just wondering if the club are in a position to recall Negredo, for a month, to allow Dzeko and and Aguero time to get fully fit (or Bony is signed and back from AFCON)

NO!

Re: City vs. Everton Saturday 10th January

i think we have done, really well recently, considering the conditions we've had to play in.
Watching Chelsea's games, it looks like they've been playing in the middle of summer,
compare to our driving winds and pissing down. oh and even snow. So i don't think the weather should affect as
that much. We just need to start at a higher tempo. IMO.

Pellegrini said Dzeko was back for Everton and Aguero back for Arsenal.

so everton have got a replay to contend with as well next week. add to the 2 days less of rest. And most of their best XI played today.

Should increase our chances

Exactly. Similar conditions to those that caused City v Sunderland & Everton v Palace to be postponed last Feb.

Baines and McCarthy are available for them on Saturday but the player who always seems to give us the most trouble now that Cahill is gone namely Osman is likely to be missing.

I watched this game closely and West Ham should have put the game to bed when they had that good 15 minute spell after half time.

Other than that both sides nullified each other and to be honest lacked that cutting edge required to take a game by the scruff.

We have been flat in the past three games but with players coming back and other gaining more fitness I expect us to be at a higher tempo on Saturday.

As for Everton you would think they would have to raise their game somewhat to get anything from us on Saturday.

They can do it but the way Martinez wants them to play we will create more chances than we had against Wednesday and its a matter of putting them away as we did last season at Goodison.

Everton are low on confidence and currently playing well below the level they were when we went there last season.

Martinez is trying to talk up their performance saying the swagger has returned but that is all it is.

They are very vunerable at the back at present and champions take full advantage of that.

Chelsea destroyed them despite conceding three goals and despite only having one fit forward we can do the same.

Hull absolutely dominated them in their last game playing average football so lets hope they continue playing the way they have for much of the season.

No reason why that shouldn't happen again on Saturday.

They could even fall into a scrap down at the bottom although I am sure they will arrest that and pick up enough points to finish mid table.

Naturally anything can happen on the day and we will have to be on our mettle hopefully keeping a clean sheet which we are overdue now.

Disitn is out for the match on Saturday as well so at least we don't have to worry about the old player curse for this game.
