Evra Withdrew his Hand

This isn't about Manchester United or Liverpool. What happened here, as far as I can tell, is Evra was abused because of his race. Only Suarez knows why he did that. Maybe because he wanted to wind him up in a heated match, maybe because he really is a racist (racism is a deep rooted belief, you either are or you aren't. Its like being gay, you can't just turn it off and on.)

Anyway, only he knows why he did it, but it was proven (conclusively) that he did do it. Evra then offered him a olive branch, a symbol of no hard feelings and a willingness to put the matter behind him. What does Suarez do? Throw it back in his face. Liverpool's reaction and Dalgleish's ridiculous tirade to the media is just a sideshow, illustrating to the world what I already knew to be true about that club for years.

I think Evra has carried himself with dignity through this. He wouldn't let himself fall victim to a bully and he recognised when the line had been crossed. He reported it and let the system handle it. Then, he showed a willingness to forgive. I'm not a fan of the man but I respect the way he handled this. Suarez has been a disgrace from start to finish, and his club have encouraged him every step of the way. Your hate of United, or Evra, shouldn't come into this.

Don't know what all the fuss is about,shaking hands with anyone is an option not a written law.

True, however, having told Liverpool he was going to do it he should have gone through with it. If he never intended to shake his hand he should have been honest about it to his employers. No doubt there were discussions beforehand and Evra was expecting Suarez to offer his hand, if they knew he wouldn't chances are the handshake would have been cancelled.
