Shelia scored City's last minute "winner" at Birmingham in 97-98Tskhadadze to be fair looked a pretty solid defender at the level we were at, and knew how to score with his head too. Played well until he got seriously injured away at Fulham in the second game of the Division 2 season, and that was pretty much that.
Don’t remember a great deal about Murtaz Shelia but there were plenty of players in that era who were highly forgettable.
Remember when we signed Kavelashvili, Alan Ball telling an interviewer that Kinkladze kept saying “he is better than me”. Not sure if that speaks more volume about Ball’s judgement or Georgi’s….
The one where Birmingham scored twice in added time
