ex players scoring against us

Think Mike Channon when he returned to Southampton
was reading something the other day about first games of the season
sure it mentioned him scoring against City the year they bought keegan

Fairly sure the great Mike Doyle got one from a corner against us at the Victoria Ground after he'd joined Stoke.

Mike Robinson scored against us at least once for Brighton, I think.

Roger Palmer scored a hat-trick at Maine Road for Oldham.

EDIT - Another one: my childhood hero Dave Watson at the end of his career got the winner for Derby against us in the old second division. Have a feeling he could also have scored against us for Saints but not sure - however, he definitely did for Derby.

And another edit - Jim Melrose, who scored for us in the 5-1 promotion game v Charlton and for them when they beat us 5-0 at Selhurst about 18 months later.

Peter Barnes, of course, for WBA:

I have a feeling that Gary Owen may also have got one against us for WBA at The Hawthorns, but not 100% on that.

I was just going to mention Peter Barnes, from memory the Kippax gave him a load of stick, which I couldn't understand at the time. Sad sad day when we let Owen and Barnes leave, whilst we paid a fortune for their replacements who were no where near of their caliber.

Used to happen a lot a few years back, one's I remember are

Paul Power for Everton (with complete lack of celebration)
Darren Beckford in the cup for Port Vale
Michael Brown - when he was a City player on loan at Sheffield United!!!
Paul Moulden for Oldham
Niall Quinn - first goal scored at Sunderland's Stadium of Light
Clive Allen for Chelsea
Paul Simpson for Oxford

Yes, happened every game until the early 80's. Fans of most clubs sang it......
