Exeter City (H) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

I was saying to my mate coming home from the match…
“There can’t be too many who’ve seen City win 10-1 twice”.
I reckon between 8-10k allowing for people passing on, moving away or not going anymore. There were only 19,583 at the Huddersfield game, so about 18k blues out of that crowd.

Didn't see the game but sounds like
Mcaidoo alleyne khus and Semenyo all showed promise which is encouraging.

Is their anywhere to get extended highlights or is it 5 mins on MOTD
should be on here in a bit, keep checking

Amazing tackle by Khus to take the ball off the toe of one of their players in the penalty box early in the first half. Also did the same to set up one of the later goals. I still think he's going to prove to be the best of last January's signings and it's almost criminal that he's only played 2 full matches in the year he's been with us.

We're sooooo disrespectful

Fuck 'em.... 7,500 singing their pathetic little songs about our support when probably half of them haven't been to an Exeter match all season

They get just over 6,000 at home so the rest are going to their cup final after jumping on the bandwagon.

Such a pity we weren't as ruthless or have as much luck in front of goal in the past 3 league games as we did today. Good debut for Semenyo and great to see us have 6 Academy lads on the field at one point.

Other bonus today was Newcastle having to play extra time which doesn't hurt. On to the draw and even more importantly a Cup semi final on Tuesday evening. Over to you City.

i cant claim to be at york away but i was defo was at the original 10-1
i even remember malcolm macdonald huddersfields manager at the time giving a shellshocked interview afterwards
saying we we playing for offsides but we don't play offisides :-)
I seem to remember him saying something like "It was like the charge of the light brigade and the linesman (or ref) was running it".

Fantastic to see so many of the players through the academy playing and being part of a great result.

McAidoo was lively throughout, Alleyne was solid at the back. Rico closed them down and got 2 goals. Nico was superb when he came on.

When the substitutions were made it felt at the time that they were going to keep going for double figures.
