Expectations for next season..

Win the league, maybe a cup, decent progress in the Champions League and i'll be very happy. It's going to be a much more competitive year with Chelsea strengthening not just the manager but also their squad, i still think United will be up there despite the new manager, they'll be in a much stronger position if they get Ronaldo.

League top 2, win domestic cup, champs league 1/4 finals.
This I think is the new realism

Qualifying for the CL is the most important thing for the Abu Dhabi profile and the the further we get the more this benefits. This is why Pellegrini was brought in imo. Not to win things but to do another "Villarreal" at City which is sad but I think we´ll all have to adjust to it as fans. I appreciate what I have witnessed the last 3 years or so

We are not competing anymore for the big , game changing names as I see it and we are hoping to maintain our CL status whilst attempting to bring kids through the new academy.
If we are competing for the very best players we are seemingly failing miserably going off recent events
I hope I´m wrong but when you see us being bum raped by Madrid, Bayern , Chavs and even scum now for the top talent it´s difficult to think otherwise. We don´t appear to want them or be prepared to pay for it anymore. I can´t stand Red Rom but he guarantees trophies year in year out by being prepared to splash out whatever is necessary. Yes we are looking long term with the academy. My answer to that would be "Arsenal"
No flapping, no whining - just the way I see it and I´ll be over for the Toon game regardless to cheer us on

I genuinely thing next season we will witness the best ever

We have a manager who seems to be spot on. We have sorted out our weaknesses from previous seasons and we have got rid of the trouble makers and high earners.

Win the league
Champions league quarters
FA cup win

Can't bloody wait.

So who what big name have they signed? Other than van Persie, who we couldn't have accommodated with Dzeko, Tevez, Aguero and Balotelli at the time anyway?

I would like some of the younger players get some game time, Guidetti especially, their would be nothing more sweeter than him smashing a goal past the rags, just to see the papers the next morning.
Guidetti is simply not good enough, its a massive difference scoring 20 goals in the dutch lge to the premier lge, he is way too slow.
He didn't just score 20 goals, he scored 20 goals in half a season. That's impressive whether you're in the Netherlands or not. That's the same strike rate that Van Nistelrooy and Luis Suarez had. It's also the same rate that Kezman had, so obviously he's not guaranteed goals in the Premier League. But there's only one way to find out, so it'd be stupid to write off a player we already own on the hunch that he might not manage to turn into a world class player. As for being too slow, Ibrahimovic is hardly Linford Christie and that's hardly done his career any harm.

Ne manager, new coaching staff.

People are being unrealistic. New managers don't come into the premier league and win it.

This, like it or not, is a transitional season for us, we won't see the finished product until next time around. I expect us to be competitive in all competitions, but to win a trophy this season is a big ask.

Ancelotti won the double in his first season
