I think his parents had moved back to Libya last couple of years and he was obviously using that as a cover, before slipping into Syria.

His dad allegedly came to this country after fleeing Gadaffi.

The red flag must surely have gone up if it is indeed correct that he left Britain the other year to fight Gaddaffi again.

A few years ago we went to Jordan for a holiday just as the Syria thing was looking like it might kick off (7 years ago?) and we had fully intended to go to Syria for a look at the old sites. Going more recently, however, is a little different.
