Hopkins knows exactly what she's doing. Just like the EDL, just like the 'alt-right' just like Trump and Bannon etc. she knows full well she's peddling to hate and xenophobia and us versus them etc. It's what gets her money, she's just pandering to horrible people by spreading shameful views.

And the point is that us versus them is also exactly what people like ISIS want. So she's actually effectively on the same side as them. She would hate it if ISIS declared a truce on terror as it would remove her platform for spouting this crap. So while she's not setting off bombs or beheading people, she's as complicit as they are in some ways.

They want to see a reaction against Muslim communities in Western countries in order to try to isolate them from the other communities in those countries and radicalise as many as possible. They want the ultimate "them and us" scenario, much like the Nazis engineered against German Jews in the 1930`s.

Hopkins, Robinson and their ilk can't see that they are the 'useful idiots' who help them achieve that, not the people who call for calm and reconciliation.

I'm finding it hard to cope with this. I don't know anyone caught up in it but I've nearly been in tears a few time today. I think it's the fact it was somewhere I've been dozens of times or if it was at another event my kids could have been there.
We had panic in the office when the Arndale was evacuated with rumours of gun fire or bomb being found. It's a horrible feeling when you don't feel safe.

Struggling to look at any of the released photos of the children.
With kids myself (at least one of which who could've easily have been there last night) it's all desperately sad.
Thoughts with all of the families.
The stories of helping hands in the city are keeping everything sane for me...
