As we've said on another thread, I certainly am not burying my head in the sand, we just have to be realistic. The human race cannot change overnight unless you propose radical options?
For example, pollution is a function of consumption/population so shooting people or restricting births will eliminate all increases in carbon emissions. I'm guessing lefties will shout outrage at this but I thought this was an emergency?
Extinction Rebellion themselves are a mass of irony given their existence alone creates a carbon footprint. I'm guessing they have a website (servers use a lot of electricity) and they travel somehow to their protests? Emma Thompson's flight from LA to London and back is the golden example of this. I bet my (a mere peasant) carbon footprint is nothing compared to hers!
I bet ER also have a Facebook page (Facebook has some of the largest and most power-hungry data centres in the world). I bet they also organise and moan about climate change on Twitter (run by Facebook).
You can see where this is going and it is why their attempts to raise awareness actually just wind people up. I want them to stop annoying people and start contributing to scientific solutions which are the only thing that is important.
