It was my first City game, I travelled on the coach from Wigan with my Dad and his mates who were all Wigan fans.
I remember being in the Wigan section of the ground wearing my plastic Man City baseball cap bought from Southport Pleasure Beach and being as proud as f**k!
Great days.

Until you see the state of the pitch and then you wish we had, when does the rugby league season start?
Wigan Warriors start their first home match in March.
The pitch is mainly natural grass, only 2% synthetics, says Wikipedia.

I always thought Lee scored with a penalty, I could be wrong though,
seen a few games since that one.
