I don’t think it was intentional. The width and poor visibility of these cars make it difficult to line them up. It was raised as an issue before the season even started. Sky did a whole thing about it.

Presumably the issue is that a misfired start makes the gap on the left that bit smaller to aim for, and needing more swerve to get to it.
 
They really need to sort these cars out and ditch DRS.

Most of the passes are such a non event at the moment.
 
Why is it a full safety car.........all they need to do is move the car 10 yds.

..........and no, it wasn't done to maximize the opportunity for Verstappen.
