Monaco part 2 coming up.

Hope it surprises me rather than being the team America wankfest production I'm expecting

Think the track will be a cross between Saudi and Austria with the long straights. It’s cold in Vegas on evenings at the moment so will be an issue warming the tyres up, will be challenging going into the unknown and will be interesting to see how powerful DRS will be for passing.

That's the attraction to me. It's going to be a great unknown track wise. In some ways having everything wrapped up means it can be tested with nothing on the line championship wise.

Only race Red Bull have lost this year has been on a bumpy Singapore street circuit. Could this place be something similar and what will the cold temps do.

Says it all about where F1's priorities are right now that the whole Las Vegas weekend has been structured around the American TV audience at the expense of the traditional European one.

Manhole covers, who would have thought it on a street circuit.

If they can’t fix the problem and have to cancel the whole thing what a disaster for the F1 management.

Not like regular fans couldn't spot the potential issues. How has this been allowed to happen???

Carlos Sainz gets a grid penalty for the damage that a lose man hole cover has done to his car. Apparently the stewards spent over three hours going through the rule book to avoid dishing out a sanction that clearly isn’t his fault.

How can they follow that part of the rule book to the letter of the law but Michael Massi can make up the rules of a safety car in Abu Dhabi on the fly?

Gave up watching F1 after that Massi shitfest.

Nobody saw this weekend being a farce did they.

I’m away anyway so won’t be able to watch it. Probably for the best.

Be piss funny if they have to just cancel the whole thing.

Apologies, not understanding the time issue and definitely cannot understand why Ferrari would get a penalty for a fault caused by F1?

Seen some clips of the "opening ceremony" (?) the other night. F1 will never knowingly undersell itself, will it? I suppose, on the assumption that it's a night race (haven't checked), it'll look stunning.

Yep.

0600 Sunday morning for us.

Lots of angles of the giant sphere and other Vegas attractions in the background whilst Max strolls to victory.
