F1 2024 season

If my anorak brain serves me right, that is the first time 'God Save the KING' has been played at a Formula One event. (Mike Hawthorn won the French Grand Prix one month after Queenie was coronated)

Hopefully it gets a few more outings this season. The McLaren looked really good today.

Wonderful.

Sure the safety car helped but his pace was incredible and I think he might have won anyway.

Wonderful and deserved win for Norris.
F1 needed that.
Hopefully gives McLaren the lift to compete with RB.
It's still 100% Max's to dominate, but i'd take a few more results like that this season! :)

Next year is when things will hot up.

Towards the end, Lando was pulling away. Whether Max was easing off or if the RB had an issue, I dunno, but both McLaren's looked very quick today. It's promising...

This is where the sprint races muddy the waters. George Russell won one a couple of years ago so would have had the National Anthem played.

Lando won with Max still on the track. It has been a while since anyone else, other than Carlos Saenz, has done that. Great drive. Hope to see some better competition as the year moves on.

Nice to see a different face on the top step yesterday. I asked before the race, "who was going to finish second?". Didn't think it'd be Verstappen!
