F1 2024 season

Great race from Sainz. Totally bossed it.

Verstappen rightly got punished. Weird though that the penalty and reasoning by FIA was different than last week. Not sure if it would had any influence on the final result. Verstappen obviously frustrated with his car reacted wrongly.

Even last week, running Norris off the road should have brought a time penalty. Looks like the stewards were left no choice as he’s getting so out of hand to maintain his status at the top.

The team knew they'd fucked this weekend up and it was worth Max taking out Lando to try and maintain a Ferrari 1/2 as a drivers championships and constructors points limitations exercise.

Last week he didn’t and FIA ruled it differently as well. But right or wrong, imho Verstappen doesn’t need to get into these positions. Thing is though that Verstappen will probably win it over a whole season.

He will as they banked the points at the start of the season. It would take a couple of DNFs and Norris wins to make the last race a winner takes all finale.

You’re right, he doesn’t, but that’s what pressure does to people. MV should win this, by a good margin, but it’s telling that he’s having to resort to his old, dangerous tactics.

Verstappen is a very dislikable c*nt, a bit like his wife beating dad. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree..
 
Mercedes officially fucked off Hamilton today.

They are going to use the remaining races as testing ideas for their cars next season. I'm guessing George will get all the toys to play with whilst Lewis gets this year's standard car.

If Ferrari and Mercedes can get their shit together next year might be better than this one is shaping up to be.

It's all about the constructors this year. Max banked this title in the early races. The only way he's losing it is by not racing for the rest of it.

I think they will do, and Piastri will do his job as rear gunner. It feels a bit too little too late IMO but the penny has dropped.
 
Sky talking about Max’s antics of pushing Lando off the track wouldn’t happen if we had old school gravel run offs and barriers.

You reckon? He’d do it even more in my opinion - does anyone really think that twat would think twice about running his rival into a gravel pit or concrete wall - would he fuck.

He’s understandably heralded as the GOAT by many but Schumacher had this sort of shithousery in his locker as well, which is why when I was watching F1 as a kid I never really liked him.

Damon Hill was always my favourite driver when I was a kid and it’s great to see him on TV now calling out filthy driving when he sees it.

In the more modern era I was a Button fan and now support Lando.

F1 should be a gentleman’s sport. I’ll always prefer to support a more methodical, smooth clean driver than some hot headed oik.
