F1 2025 Season

What is it me and sport lately.
I've had to record some matches and races. That has meant trying to do a media blackout, as to not know the score/results. Twice this week the gods of "sods law" have screwed me.

First was the 2.am City match. I stayed up for it, but after around 15 mins, i was just too tired. I'd been up at 05.30 that morning and had to do the same again. So i just recorded it before falling asleep.
Jumped in the car at 6am, and before i could mute the radio, the words "City had a great win" and the score. Honestly, it was like in films when somebody turns the TV on during a disaster, and the new reporter is almost cued up to only say the exact bit you need to hear.

Then today, i had a family event, so missed the start of the GP.
I wasn't worried, as i turned off the radio in the car before parking up. So when i set off for home, the radio stayed silent.
Got in, and turned on the TV. I planned to then go in the menu and play the recording. The last channel the TV was on was the Discovery channel. So i knew there would be no way the GP results would be announced.
Somehow, the channel had been turned to SKY Sports F1. So when i turned on the TV, the first picture was the bloody winner rostrum, showing the winners! FFS!

hahaha it's so annoying that isn't it.

it's always bloody BBC News that does me. Manage to go all day without knowing a result, look at the news to see who's planning on nuking who this week and top of the bloody general page is (usually until this season) Max Verstappen throwing magnums of piss around

Sky saying that Verstappen -> Mercedes talks are advancing
Could it actually happen? If so, where would Russell go?

Yeah, you can thank Sainz for that! Also I'm sick to death of 'Ted's Notebook' I don't think I've ever watched a single one, yet I had an early morning race spoiled that way. If Sky know the race was delayed, they need to update their guide asap

Swapsies with Red Bull? Though it'd be funny seeing those two in the same team

Max giving the middle finger to the ones expecting a GB front row.

He's the best driver on the grid and I accept that. Despite him being a ****.

Being a **** has got him to where he is.

Where are the other cunts in F1 to challenge him?

Russell talks the talk but he can't walk the walk.

I'm struggling to see any new drivers who can be as cunty.

Is he a bloke that's easy to dislike? Yes, I'd say so. He's an arrogant tw@.Though most of the elite F1 drivers down the years have been like that. Senna, Schumacher, Vettel, Rosberg etc etc. And yes, Hamilton as well. I just could never warm to him. He comes across as a bit aloof to me. But back to Verstappen; he's so far ahead of the rest of the grid in terms of pure ability. Put Piastri, Norris or Russell in that RB car; could they pull out a qualifying lap like that?

I doubt it.

His arrogance gives him that extra belief he can take a chicane that fraction of a second later.

Best season in years with the usual mix.

Max being the unflushable turd.. Singlehandedly fighting McClaren.

Mercedes transitioning like Russell.

Ferrari being Spursey.

It could well be a Hamilton win today because that would be such a Ferrari thing to do.
