F1 Competition 2013: Season 3 **Entries Closed**

Re: F1 Competition 2013: Season 3 **2 Spots Left**

Congratulations to Mercedes and Red Bull for destroying the sport again. It's like earlier 2000 Ferrari all over again

Re: F1 Competition 2013: Season 3 **2 Spots Left**

its about time that f1 sorted this out with team orders, if the team dont let 1 driver pass another in same team then they should be docked points, then we will see some proper racing

Come on JMW. Where's the updated league table? Sort it out man!

;-)

If this was upstairs there would already be hundreds debating whether or not he's up to the job.

Rule is table doesn't go up until the highlights have been shown on the BBC, that way people without Sky don't get the risk of spoilers.

Working on it now should be up in a bit.

Right well another interesting race. Red Bull just had too much in the end for Mercedes. The end of the race has people talking but to me the main problem is team orders and they're always going to exist so there is always going to be something we don't like about the sport. Vettel did what a World Champion does and went and won the race no matter what, I'm happy for him to disobey team orders as I feel it should always be a race to the finish. Webber paid the price for being naive despite his experience and Rosberg cemented himself as the #2 driver at Mercedes for not having the balls to pass Hamilton. That's the difference between Vettel and Alonso and Webber and Rosberg, the former are ruthless and will dictate it on their terms and as a result are world champions and the best in the field. The other 2 are arse-kissers and happy to play ball which is why they are number 2 in their team. Webber should have known better and if the roles were reversed people would be applauding Mark, tendency in British fans to give the best German driver the stick. Nearly all the famous world champions have pulled a stunt or done something people don't like, whether it be Schumacher, Senna, Prost, Hill, Vettel, Alonso, Hamilton, Hakkinen. It's almost the trademark of world champions as they will go that extra step, they will dare to get themselves into trouble to win the title, that's what it takes.

Anyway plenty of shuffling about in the table so here's the update:

I've closed entries now we have a nice round 48 teams. That means I can organise the F1 Cup and once again it's going to be in Champions League style with a Group Stage then knockout matches as opposed to the Golf Cup which is straight knockout. That means we will have 8 groups of 6 teams, the top 2 from each group will go into the Last 16 stage. The races chosen for each round of the tournament are as follows:

F1 Cup Calendar

Group Stage

Matchday #1-China: 14/04/13.
Matchday #2-Monaco: 26/05/13.
Matchday #3-Canada: 09/06/13.
Matchday #4-Britain: 30/06/13.
Matchday #5-Germany: 07/07/13.

Knockout Stages

Last 16-Belgium: 25/08/13.
Quarter-Final-Italy: 08/09/13.
Semi-Final-Japan: 13/10/13.
Final-Brazil: 24/11/13.

You have been numbered by the order in which I have you written down in my spreadsheet, which bar the odd exception means you are in the order you entered the competition. Using the random number generator the groups are as follows:

Group A: Shadz69, Rosler1985, The Flash, ManCitizens., chaz1337, BoyBlue_1985.
Group B: Rorz88, Ell-ano, bluestevei, blue cigar, Feed-The-Goat, SambaMike.
Group C: Bluemoon dan, chris, simonr555, Scareye, JoeMercer'sWay, rickmcfc.
Group D: Southbanken, bluesmith, manc73, happychappy, jay_mcfc, No6.
Group E: The cookie monster, mancity dan, SWP's Back, leighton, mcfcnorthstand, Joe CurryGan.
Group F: AntonDonJuan, mcfcfaz, Akai, kippaxwarrior, simonmdm, sjk2008.
Group G: tilbz, TaxiforCreaney, bluestew66, Blueto, gazinho, BimboBob.
Group H: MCFC1993, brian the blue, the goats backside, City Raider, MCFCPassion, MCFC-alan88.

First round of fixtures will be announced in the next couple of weeks.

That table has to be wrong Mcfcnorthstand at the top he is normally down near the bottom of the table.

As for the Race and the Webber and Vettel incident its a sad state that F1 is in. We all know about team orders they were always there for years. Saying that they should get rid of it and let the drivers race. I would love to see every team having the same car like the A1 GP and it was basically down to the best driver that won that championship. I know with F1 that will never ever happen. I pitty Webber told to ease the engine down and he does it thinking that Vettel would do the same thing yet he goes flying by Webber. A under handed move by Vettel but just get F1 to just come out with no team orders just fucking race the cars what they are paid huge money for.
