The teams went into a meeting with the race director.
I can tell you that Mercedes took a barrister with them.
The head honchos from both race teams appeared before the stewards.
They then came out, Christian Horner looked at me, winked, broke into a little smile and carried on walking.
Then I heard they have just adjourned the meeting and will reconvene in eight minutes.
I can say it's highly unusual for Mercedes to have brought a barrister to the race track but it was for exactly this kind of scenario.

so much is going on in the background and another major one is now red bull 2nd car was under weight ?
red bull really are in a mess and the hole they are in can not be brushed under the carpet

Yep that is a major story. Did they knowingly do so to use him to scupper Lewis like he did thinking they might get away with scrutiny of the car because of the magnitude of the day and the focus on the world champion later?

It’s murky and I’d say they have no defence to what is happening right now.

That's my first thought. This was done on purpose to help him slow Lewis down

It's funny how we're all hoping for a bent and incompetent FIA to uphold an appeal that would undo the result of all their corruption and incompetence.

FIA will make a decision and it will be a complete and utter fudge that will maintain the current result.

The FIA didn't fuck this up, Michael Masi did.

Mercedes aren't going against a monolith, the stewards and FIA frequently go against the race director and Masi has already.

And Mercedes can take this to CAS if the FIA make a decision that doesn't stand up and they will lose. Thats going to influence their decisions tonight.

Does the underweight car basically mean they underfuelled it knowing he’d have extra pace if and when they needed him to slow down Lewis.
