F1 Season 2021

Hamilton was clinging on for dear life on that last lap and was given a shit sandwich to deal with. One observation, why did he go wide into the corner and let Verstappen get alongside him? Alonso is the master of making his car bigger than it should be, wonder if he would have survived that onslaught?

I'm an LH fan and i was thinking the same thing. Could someone like Alonso with more experience of hanging on done a better job, or maybe, LH is so worried about Max just taking him out that he gives MV too much room?

It was a big gap to send it up the inside on a hairpin. Wonder if it was the tyres dying, he managed to nudge him as well. What a shit show on Sunday but Mercedes do end up on the wrong side of the strategies. Remember back in Turkey when they told him to come in and and he ignored the engineer and kept going on inters.

Keeps it all bubbling before testing starts for next season.

I'm trying to be look at the whole affair critically. I can surmise Masi felt the pressure and cracked.

He doesn't need to be replaced. The FIA should just tweak the rule saying Team Principles STFU whilst racing.

I’d send him for err…. Re-education personally.

Not being an avid follower of motorsport I thought Masi was incompetent or bent, having spoken to a colleague who spends 10s of thousands following the sport I am leaning on incompetent as he was massively under qualified. His past experience was deputy race director of Aussie v8 and Hong Kong prix whatever those are. He was due to start directing F3 races when Charlie Whiting passed away and he got the got the gig basically because he was Australian and they didn’t want to postpone the Australian Grand Prix and the fia then did a United hatchet job and forgot to replace him with a more experienced & skilled race director.
I'm with you on this I am no way an F1 fan but I watched because it was one of those sporting occasions you have to see. I also looked into it afterwards. Yes the man calling the shots was under qualified.
