He hit an outside rumble strip. The problem with this one is that it is like a sleeping policeman. They have now removed it for the remainder of the weekend. Whoever thought that design of strip was a good idea on that particular corner wants locking up.

I know it's the very pinnacle of motor sport (and sport in general) and those sort of things shouldn't happen but it was hilariously amateurish!
In terms of the race today, the weather forecast is for a smattering of rain so should be another interesting one.
