F1 thread - 2019 Season

Terrible crash it really is and very unlucky as he bounces off the tyre wall and straight into 170mph traffic with a car t-boning him.

To see the way the cars are left shows you the incredible impact and forces as these cars are strong beyond belief.

RIP young man.
Yep, I've just seen the video and his car was cut down the middle, poor sod. Will be tough for the young lad who hit him too, even though he's 100% innocent its something he ain't never forgetting.

Just a truly awful incident.

Another great race.

Leclerc had to win that, for lots of reasons, and actually Ferrari did very well with the strategies to ensure it happened.

Although Vettel fucked it up going into la Source, twice, so he only had himself to blame for eventually finishing off the podium and losing what probably should've been a 1-2.

Roll on Monza next weekend.

I said early on when I was watching with my old man if they pitted Vettel early that they'd guarantee a race win and it did.
Charles probably owed seb a beer for that defensive display against Lewis for those few laps

It was a strange race to watch as I generally give not two fucks about any other driver, Its Lewis for me and that's it. I think it was knowing Leclerc was friends and had grown up with the lad who had died that I kinda wanted him to win, tbh he deserved it too.

Very happy for Leclerc. How times have changed for Seb, which also makes me happy.

I think he'll have made up his mind this weekend and retire at the end of the season.

He's getting matched by his team mate which reduces his chances of getting another WDC. And there's more to life than racing, as he gets older and after seeing what happened in the F2 race he might think enough is enough. I'm sure he's earnt enough to retire on!
