I don't know that. Not a Yank thing, nor a new idea. Simply a return to the fifties tradition. If it was good enough for Stirling and Juan Manuel...
Cheers for the info.

Mike Hawthorn, 0ur first British World Champion, beat Moss to the crown in 1958 thanks to scoring 2 more fastest laps than his countryman.I don't know that.

Good knowledge G.Mike Hawthorn, 0ur first British World Champion, beat Moss to the crown in 1958 thanks to scoring 2 more fastest laps than his countryman.
Fucking idiotic idea. You’ll get people down in 4th with a big gap to 5th pitting for fresh tyres when there’s low fuel to get an extra point. Not a Yank thing, nor a new idea. Simply a return to the fifties tradition. If it was good enough for Stirling and Juan Manuel...
That would be rather exciting . Now we wouldn't want any of that unecessary drama, would we?Fucking idiotic idea. You’ll get people down in 4th with a big gap to 5th pitting for fresh tyres when there’s low fuel to get an extra point.
John Surtees, the only man to be world champion on two wheels as well as four.
Edited to give an alternative view of the same thing, unless I'm being Clarkied...Again.Fucking brilliant idea. You’ll get people down in 4th with a big gap to 5th pitting for fresh tyres when there’s low fuel to get an extra point.
Just looked it up and yesterday was the second anniversary of Surtees' death. Every time I saw him interviewd he seemed an amazing bloke and a proper gentleman to boot.Yet he was never knighted...
Met him briefly a couple of times and he was indeed a splendid fellow.Just looked it up and yesterday was the second anniversary of Surtees' death. Every time I saw him interviewd he seemed an amazing bloke and a proper gentleman to boot.
