F1 Thread

Just seen this on Ssn now, it's weird to me, I have a passing interest in f1 so I bow to all you avid fans but I have seen how ham can drive and think equal car equal conditions he appears to me (admittedly not an f1 addict) that he would beat anybody out there right now, so I don't understand and perhaps a fan can answer me, why is he seemingly universally disliked and does today's events whereby vettel increased his lead on Hamilton not make an utter mockery of the sport. In football vettel would get a straight red for that today, for him to come away advancing a lead seems bizarre and perhaps given previous 'harsh' treatment for much lesser offences on Hamilton gives and aspect of credibility to some of his previous comments?
Hamilton is the most popular individual driver on the F1 circuit mate.

Just watched it this morning, what a race! I'm a vettel fan but he can't do that in all honesty; whether Hamilton brake tested him or not you can't pull up alongside someone like that under waved yellows and a safety car.
However, I'm not convinced it was deliberate; if you rewatch the incident he takes his hand off the wheel when he gesticulates toward Hamilton and then loses control of the car. A black flag might have been a bit too harsh but I think he got his appropriate punishment with points on his licensce and effectively a 30 second penalty

FIA have cleared Hamilton of any wrong doing on the brake testing incident by looking at his telemetry. If thats the case then shouldn't Vettle be charged for that as well? Seen the Hamilton interview this morning and he was absolutely fuming with Vettle. Asked him to sort it out man to man

Vettel was punished though? He received a 10 second stop and go penalty and points on his license?

Thought that was for him deliberately going into Hamilton on the 2 incident not the 1st one when Vettle accused Hamilton on braking too fast and he went into the back on him
As the image shows he did brake hard and that's what caused Seb to go into the back of him
I just want to make clear before I'm accused of bias I believe the penalty was deserved but I think the shunt was right to be left unpunished
