Lloris had a blinder? I remember 1 save in the first half from Kane & everything else was average.

Except he didn't have much of a CV.

International mangers have a limited field of players to select from and can't buy the ideal players for their system.

So it doesn't matter much if he has a philosophy, if there aren't the players to implement it. They have never been embarrassed and gave everything they could.

And despite Peps talents he still hasn't managed to integrate either Foden or Grealish into centre midfield positions. Something Southgate gets flack for.

And then it happens again, and again and again.

If I told him the sun is coming up tomorrow even after a year of it happening everyday he would suggest we give the moon one more chance to hang around all day.

He is no different to some on here with City and the champions league though so no need to judge him badly. He is just Uber positive despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

A lot of us are just England weary based on solid logic.

Yeh I get the impression he's a sound guy, but NEVER try to have a debate on England or VAR with him. He's NEVER wrong - even when he's wrong, which he always is. Haha. Got to admire his sticking power though

Actually, apart from Ramsey in ‘74, the only two times England have failed to qualify were under Greenwood in ‘78 and Taylor in ‘94. Only Greenwood survived it.
 
Im neutral in this i dont hate England like many welsh people do. I kinda feel disappointed for you, honestly you should right now be in a semi final against Morocco and also be the defending European champions.

Southgate i think gets lee way as well this is the best you've done in years right? and the (Golden Generation) didn't do well and the media narrative has been well who do you replace southgate with etc other coaches youve had are brought up in the discussion saying look it isnt easy etc.

The problem with that argument is the quality of opposition has dramatically changed from Golden Generation days. Out of every european team right now its just England and France who are top quality. Spain are not what they used to be, Neatherlands are average and play hoof ball. Portugal are run by that show pony and a average coach. Italy have fallen, Germany are a shadow of their former selves. The top dogs of european football are not at the level they once were. You and France are the two heavy weights right now in European football. With the most quality in your squads out of every country

Your better than France last night you were, Saka caused Hernandez all problems. Kane caused their Centre backs all sorts of problems, Fodens movement had Kounde worried, after you scored the pen i thought you would win this. you were all over them but like the euros a better coach being the France coach made a tactical change overloaded the right side and Southgate did nothing. The same way Mancini did for Italy in the European final. once again because of that you lost. You have the quality in that squad to win a major tournament no doubt. The problem is when up against another team with quality and a good manager, Southgate gets out thought and is not quick enough to respond.

Some of the England fans posting on here make the scousers seem like a humble bunch with no delusions whatsoever! Haha!
