I'm guessing it would have been late 90s while we were giving the Premier League a break from our all-conquering play. In fact it was almost certainly during our 98-99 third tier season just after the old Plough Lane was sold to Sainsbury's. - They'd moved out a few years earlier but Wimbledon and Palace Reserves used the ground. Wimbledon were in the Prem at the time.Wow don’t recall that. What year would that have been?
MK Dons v AFC Wimbledon. Builders in MK might get a few repair jobs at the stadium if there's a repeat of the trouble when they met in the cup about 12 years ago.
I was in a neutral section for that game doing a bit of ground-hopping and the AFCW fans seemed well up for it.
I actually believe MK Dons are the continuation of Wimbledon FC as the club, team, backroom staff and EFL place move with them. The name change was the equivalent of Arsenal dropping "Woolwich", or Clapton Orient changing to Leyton Orient before dropping, and later reinstating the "Leyton" prefix. The problem with the move was the distance involved and the impact on the fans.If the Rags can pretend they are 150 years old cos they took over the team with a different name, kit & stadium then surely Mk Dons can claim to be 135 years old.
Mate of mine RIP is still their highest goal scorer we played Sunday mornings together when he was well into his 50s and he was still head and shoulders above anyone else on the field.I knew 2 lads who played in that Exeter game, Exeter were flying at the time, massive result.
They were gutted they drew Kidderminster ( I think) in the next round and got beat!
I gave my city season ticket up after the 100 point season (personal reasons) and went to watch curzon instead, my son played for them so that got me in for 3 quid!
Went on an IBM course there donkey’s years ago, bloody horrible I have never been back.Basingstoke likes this post.

Not sure about that. I was involved with the FSF when it ‘brokered’ a deal between AFC Wimbledon and MKD (though I wasn’t involved in the deal) and it was said then the Middle East troubles would have been easier to sort out….Wimbledon's place in the EFL, they wanted nothing to do with the history of the club and act as though the FA Cup win and other events prior to 2003 never happened.
