FA Cup 4th round draw - Palace (a)

It's about time they decided the tv games . 2 weeks today and the first game is played yet they still haven't made an announcement. Ok it doesn't really bother us as don't know who we are playing but it's still late !

It's a fucking joke mate. I'm expecting an announcement today as I can't see how they can let this drag on past the weekend.

You know what they are like, they will be waiting until all replays have been done next week,I mean if Plymouth beat Liverpool, they are hardly gonna show Plymouth v Wolves, however if Liverpool do beat them, that game v Wolves is a candidate,I reckon so is Bolton v us if they win, might have to wait till next Thursday, hope not like, but like I said you know what they are like

I think they've tended to pick the TV games ahead of the replays in the past as to not do so means all the other ties where the opponents are known means they're hanging on to find out too. Even taking into account the fact that they're really not arsed about match-going fans, I'd be surprised if they leave it until after the replays.

What is fixed? The Draw?

We have been drawn against, possibly, the team with the worst record of any league club in the country over the last 12 months. Prior to our current run of 5 away draws, we had six consecutive home draws.

We don't even know who we will be playing.

Why is it 'a fix?'

It's relatively easy to fix, but only up to a certain point
If the FA didn't want one of their darlings playing us,the easiest way to interfere with the draw would be Liverpool, utd, Arsenal etc their numbers could be ice cold and ours could be red hot
Don't draw two colds together and leave the hot one till last so it's a definite away tie

Well if that is the case they taking the piss if not announced today then

Surely this is the round when United's run of televised Cup games comes to an end? Could there be a more boring tie than that lot against Wigan?

What!?! and miss the chance to tell the story of the broken-leg end that is Dave Whelan?
Those soft focus images of DW sitting next to Lord Bobby comparing leg-break story and aircrash story with a cheery smile and chuckle?
And the heart-warming story of how plucky little Wigan beat the mighty evil moneybags of Nastychester City?
Ignoring good old Wigan plummeting to flirting with dropping to the depths of Division 3?
How we'll all be able to rejoice in the Red Marvels being wonderfully sporting and only putting five goals past the Pie Men.
No wonder they say the romance of the FA Cup is dead.

Don't forget the manager once put cones out for training at the swamp as well.

As for when they'll not be on TV I fear as baconface said 'not in my lifetime'.

BT will always take Utd if available, as it gets more viewers/advertising. It's a constant, and is why they always look for Liverpool too, but that's got the replay problem.

Assuming it's six matches:
Certainties:
Utd
Chelsea-Brentford (local, Chelsea not on last round)

Best guess:
Arsenal or Liverpool tie
Derby - Leicester (local)
City (local or BFS-Guardiola)
Oxford - B'ham/Newcastle (lower league at home, and pray for Newcastle to make it)

Hope for:
Rochdale- Huddersfield (local, lower league)
Fulham - Hull (Championship-PL)

Rochdale have just confirmed that their game against Huddersfield is a Saturday 3pm kick off so they're definitely not on TV. If they have done that then I assume the picked games will be announced shortly.
