FA Cup 5th round draw - Huddersfield Town (Away)

There are loads of good restaurants in Huddersfield (and Bradleys was never one of them), along with some bad. If anyone wants recommendations let me know what you like and I'll point you in the right direction.

Eric's on Lidget Street (past Hospital) is decent.

A few other nice gaffs on there as well.

Plenty of Easy eaters underneath the arches 2 mins from station / 10 from ground.

Magic Rock Brewery & Malinsons Brewery Corner in Market place also do good stuff.

Eric's is good but out of town and definitely not football fan friendly!

There's a brand new Turkish bang opposite the station called "Ephesus" which is brilliant. I'm there tonight for the second time. Also next to the station is "LaLa's" curry house which is loud, brash and pretty good. Both of these are right outside the two train station pubs which are both, amazingly, real ale pubs.

I agree with CPB: If you are proper into real ale you should walk the 5-10 mins to Magic Rock which is a brewery and pub in one. But they don't really sell lager or even pints. You could have one in the Sportsmans Arms on the way there, 2-3 mins from the station which is a real ale pub as well and used to do "Yorkshire Tapas". Not sure if they will do on a match day, though.

Just rang city and apparently the carrier pidgeon they sent to bring back the Ticket details from Huddersfield has bust its wing in an unforeseen flying incident so due to matters outside of there control could be a delay in dispatching the ticket info. They have though sourced a late replacement in Terry the tortoise who is now hotwiring it down to Huddersfield and as of 10 minutes ago was passing the velodrome after a short refreshment break in Mary D's and is expected in Huddersfield no later than Friday 10th February.
All being well therefore city expect to release details by the following Wednesday however due to the fact the carrier pidgeon has bust its wing they won't be in a position to send any Tickets out anyway so they respectfully suggest we dont bother attending the game and sincerely hope we find other interests in the future as they are getting sick of answering calls on ridiculous subjects like 'when will Tickets be available'. Apparently its not what they're there for and every call we make inbound is stopping them making another call to another CEO in the hope they can flog a few more corporate seats.
Anyway I said I'd pass the message on

I was there mate :-) I remember when Town scored to make it 9-1 it got the biggest cheer of the afternoon! But to balance that, also seen a few away wins at yours too.. 2-3, and a couple of 0-1s spring to mind. We were 0-2 up in the 2-3 game and then City scored twice in first half injury time to go in level. Somehow we managed the winner in the 2nd half. Great days! Even the 10-1!

The 10th anniversary of the 10-1... to the day. 7/11/97 ..We played you at Maine Road.... you won 1-0. Typical City

3,700 is rather low. Are they getting good crowds?

Had 20,000 the other night for Brighton. Ground only holds 24k so 3,700 is about right and it is the whole end behind the nets
