FA cup against the rags - is NOW sold out {merged}

haha we went in a huge group, in 111 a few years ago for a cup match when we were at school. there must have been about 10-15 of us who all bought tickets. it was one of the early cc rounds so it was not a sell out.

anyway one of us was a rag but never been to old trafford, he started gobbing off saying how shit we were and my mate turned around and said "shut the fuck up you plastic rag ****".

a few lads clocked on who were older and looked handy and told him to leave before he got done in. my mate shit his kecks and tryed to claim he was a blue, they asked him a few quite easy questions such as who scored the equaliser against gillingham in the play offs and he didn't know so left as quick as you could say rag, whilst we all pissed ourselves laughing. we met him in piccadilly after the game.

When I started this point, a few days ago, all I wanted to express was my total surprise why this particular fixture had not sold out weeks ago and had to eventually go on open sale to get rid of the final batch of tickets.

For me, whilst of course the leage title is what this season is really about, a Derby Game - at home - as defending Cup Holders - was a game that every City Fan would want to go to. For it to end up on open sale which meant that loads of fecking rags will have now got tickets in our sections, along with the 5,000 tickets they will have had for their own allocation.

I have no intention of 'shutting my mouth' to please the likes of you. This was a simple thread with a simple question as to why we were not sold out ages ago for this incredible game. Now that we are finally sold out, it is good news. But no need for a load of you to get into such a hissy fit about a simple observation.

Wrong, you could only buy a ticket for this match if you had a previous purchase history, so the only way United fans could end up in City seats is if some blues bought them tickets, can't see that happening.

City have mates who are United fans and vice versa. Loads of blues go in the home end at Old Trafford. I know United fans who will be in the City end. They won't act like knobs and won't draw attention to themselves. Football fans want to watch a game, whether it be in their end or not.

Sorry, should have specified, I can't see any blues giving tickets to United fans who would cause trouble.

Maybe if city hadn't charged such ridiculous prices we wouldn't be talking about rags in our end.

Hopefully the club will look at the number of seasoncard holders like myself and about 10 friends and family who have decided not to go and realise £40 is a rip off regardless of the opposition

rags have always gone in our end on derby day, just as we have gone in their end.

The game has sold out.... therefore they wont be looking anywhere as to why some fans think the price was too high. Job done as far as the club is concerned.

What would you have liked to have paid? What would be classed as acceptable? Football isn't cheap these days and if it hadn't have been against United the prices would have been lower to get bums on seats.

As it is against United, it is a sell out so City may see it as being priced just right.

They might think again when they see all the empty seats on Wednesday.

I've been told on this forum you can leave cup schemes at the expense of the loyalty point bonus when signing up. So why didn't people join the cup scheme, get the 15 quid ticket, go to the game, then drop out of the cup scheme?
