FA Cup Final 2024 | Manchester Derby | Sat 25 May 3:00pm

Seen people on Twitter say the rules from the Osc means you can’t re sell your ticket as if you get caught it leads to a ticket ban form club ????

Dunno if true

In my experience any story that contains the word ‘probably’ is most likely anecdotal.

I know two people from an OSC requested tickets and have no intention of going there being passed on probably at a profit.

Ffs really?!! You'll have people on here frothing at the bit and understandably so.

The allocation is daft as it is and Tim's fighting a losing battle with instances like this. They should be banned from getting them from the OSC altogether and the branch punished too.

But once City have allocated 100 tickets to an OSC they wash there hands off them.

if that comment is aimed at me you need to read my posts on this matter over the years. I am relaxed about higher percentage of tickets going to pointe but City need to start achieving the agreed percentages first. I use my own points for tickets but this time I have gone in with the Branch allocation because we have several young families and a number of disabled Blues going this time who might need help on the day.

I have no qualms about correcting misinformation about picking price bands, the loyalty of my OSC members to City (season cards etc). I hope one day we can fill the away end for Champs League away group games without having to sell half the allocation to Branches.

Most posters who oppose the OSC allocation have been very reasonable. This is a massive improvement on how OSC members used to be treated on here a few years back. the the tirade against the OSC ran out of steam because decent posters were sick of the attempted bullying.

It's a lame excuse, but that's my thoughts behind it too.

I don't necessarily agree that everybody in each OSC should have to be a season ticket holder to request a ticket. There should however be a requirement of a few fixtures as a bare minimum. Say 5-10 games over the course of the season. People requesting them with less than that should be refused point blank. It's only leading to more and more resentment of the OSC's and there's some really decent people in them.
I heard Kevin Parker being interviewed on Cheesey's podcast that came out on Sunday and felt he made some good points.
The OSC receives 20% of City's allocation of tickets for every away game be it Luton, the Swamp or Wembley. It has done for decades. Gillingham in 99 at Wembley, 20% of City's allocation.

So there shouldn't be resentment from non OSC fans because regardless of whether a fan receiving a ticket has been to one game or 500, they are not taking a ticket from a non OSC fan. If anything, a first timer is taking a ticket from a fellow long timer OSC fan!
Now if I was a fan in an OSC and had been going for years and missed out because someone in the branch was going to their first game then yes I'd be very annoyed, but that would fall on the branch itself, not the OSC. It really is up to each branch to ensure that they give out the tickets responsibly if the allocation was short of what they asked for.
I myself am a member of the Tampa Bay SC and applied for 2 tickets, for me and my grandson and received them. In total we ordered 5 tickets and received them all. 2 adults and 3 kids, both adults ex pats and long term Blues taking our kids / grandkids (who are members) to the game and I've no issue with that.
