The OSC is taking 20%. What they do with that is irrelevant to any non member of the OSC as regardless of how many points or how long they've been a season ticket holder, the OSC will still receive 20% of the tickets.
Now you may question / challenge why the OSC receives 20% but that is a different issue. Do I think someone's first game should be a Cup Final? No. But if the allocation is 20% to the OSC, then non members are not going to get one of those tickets no matter how many points / years the recipient has been a season ticket holder / match day goer or may not have been a season ticket holder / non match day goer.
Kevin Parker said the OSC has 40,000 members and received 20% of City's allocation. Im sure someone can do the maths as to how many menbers of the OSC got a ticket
It is relevant though mate. I’m in a OSC, although I got my own ticket this year.
That said, that allocation to OSC’s shouldn’t be getting in the hands of first timers for finals.
If that means OSC receive a reduced allocation based solely on those eligible, so be it. As a result, more would be made available to those accumulated the points and buying on their own.
OSC’s are great, they particularly were in the drab days where tickets were difficult to shift.
However, tickets are much more sought after these days.
We have a points system for a reason, and unfortunately this seems to be circumvented by certain OSC’s.
If, as an example, the Hollywood OSC apply for tickets for a final but can’t prove eligibility, they should be told they’re getting 0 tickets and invited to apply again for a home game the following season.
Those tickets should then be added to the general pot which is on sale via points accumulated.
