FA Cup Final - Post Game thread

Even with a poor first half, CH's who shouldn't have started, poor reffing, VAR that obviously didn't actually look at anything, gifting them a goal, I could go on .....in 19/20 games we'd have still at least got to ET.

It is what it is, fuming coming out of the ground but, we've got to suck it up.

I'm still down south until Monday, if you can get to the parade and show them the love they deserve.

Not seen it said on here yet but
....the Charity Shield v United in August will at least give us a chance to start the season with a derby win and a chance yo put some of yesterday's disappointment right. (Even if it is a glorified friendly)
Hopefully we lose as we always win the league when we do!

Pep's fault entirely for fucking up with our back line, nothing to do with lasting effects of alcohol

It can be both. Said at the time I didn't agree with the Stones selection. Completely bizarre when he hasn't really featured recently and sticks him in for a cup final. Has a habit of strange selections, wasn't a patch on the Porto game though in that regard.

I run pretty much every day and know how much alcohol fucks up performance. After a decent drink my resting heart rate will go from low to mid 40s to almost double that the next day. They're far from negligible numbers. You don't really get any sleep even though you think you have. Next to no REM, deep sleep etc. Takes ages to get it out of your system entirely and if they did continue until midweek as has been suggested on here it's not a probability it effected performance it's a certainty. Ironically I described the way they played after the game like they were hungover in that first half- nervous and riddled with anxiety. Sounds like it could actually have been the case and we've effectively gifted those cunts a trophy.

Beyond mad. Bet we weren't on the piss in between trophies last year.

I see next years final is beofre the end of the season, that would be an interesting game if we are in both and still needed to win on the final day!

At £225 for my ticket *had to wait for points to drop so all of us could sit together) the middle tier unlike the lower tier we usually go in had a fantastic view, a lovely welcoming concourse, clean toilets, no queues for food or drink. Very refined and welcoming.

Sadly what it didnt have was a majority of City fans like the lower tier. Sit down, dont stand up, wear your half n half with pride, don't do the poznan, sit in silence, don't swear or show any passion to your team or dislike to the opposition and leave early.

We all actually had a great time after the game, celebrated with hundreds of Blues in boxpark like we'd won the damn thing. It helped get over it but at £225 a ticket and no doubt increasing next year you can sling it. I'm finally at tipping point and on the verge of maybe calling it a day for Wembley. Now its off for breakfast and the drive back, Londons a shithole I wanna go home.

This may sound bad and entitled but I won't go to Wembley and I live in Kent. I won't pay those prices to go to a place that is a dump.
Us working class fans are being pushed out.
I went to the villa carabo final hated it, didn't enjoy the train or trying to get across London. I was a fish out of water.
I could get the thought out of my head of how much my ticket was, that spoiled my day, than the price of stuff in London.

It's hard to put into words buy I really hate Wembley and London.

Yes that’s why we lost. Our ultra professional manager and players spent all week in Spoons.

Ffs. United were better. We didn’t turn up.

We lost a game of football. We had an individual error mix up that gifted them a goal, and a moment when players failed to ger back on the break.

Had one of Walker's shots gone in, or Haaland's off the bar effort, or even one of the penalties been given, whole other game.

People treating it like we were shit or didn't try the full 90 ffs. Did plenty to pull it back, didn't come off. Gutted, but I am 100% behind these guys and the manager and they have still given us an incredible season.
