FA Cup Final - Post Match Thread

Elton John apparently had a pre-arranged concert in Copenhagen that was impossible to cancel and, therefore, could not be there to witness that performance, which I have to say rather takes the shine off the day for me.
He'd have only cried again, soft fucker. Has no idea what being a football fan in the wind & rain etc is all about.

He did his concert after the game!! The biggest cheer came when he sang?? I guess that’s why they call it the blues.

Loved my time at the FA cup final yesterday. Myself and my lifelong friend from Sydney who flew in for the game. Growing up in Scotland supporting City when were not very good, remember as a 14 year old being gutted after losing the 1981 cup final v Spurs. Never made it to the Yaya final and was in the Wigan end in 2013. So fast forward from 1981 to 2019 and to be there and see City win the cup and complete the historic treble was just amazing. Oh and to witness the last game of the legend Vincent Kompany. What a day.

Maybe this commemorative shirt next year should be half the away kit from 99 with latest away with we’ve been on a journey sown into it
i love it!
it will have to be primarily sky blue for obvious reasons, but for a commemorative away shirt that's actually brilliant and,
mark my words,
a damn sight better than what i think we are going to get with the very few fans choices from the incredibly average options they presented on the official website for the special one.

You picked a good game there, fair do’s, knackered doing Wembley return from Manchester, no comparison to your journey. Deffo worth it though, you have witnessed a magnificent part of our history, Vinny you legend.

unbelievable how much stick we've taken since the fa cup win. from having the easiest of cup runs, to scoring too many in the final. i think its just time to realise we will just never win regardless of what we do. Fuck 'em

Not sure if there's a thread on this but this seems the appropriate place. Did anyone see the post match press conference where that reporter asked Pep about the investigation stuff?

Honestly what did that reporter think was going to happen with a stupid question like that? I'm not a city fan as you all know, but what a stupid question to ask following an FA Cup win

Sports journalists/reporters really grind my gears.
It gets to a point where it’s just laughable, not sure if true football fans take them seriously anymore.

How conclusive were the replays of Jesus or Sterling scoring the 2nd Goal

As we left the ground it was reported on the BBC as a Sterling hat trick and believe Pep was talking to Raheem about pinching the goal.

Just watched highlights on Bein sports. Why did Pep look so down in the last 10-15 minutes? He had a right face on him. Does any body know owt ??
