City fan since 4 years old with season tickets at Maine Road with my Dad, and I'm now 53 years old. What a privilege to see us like this. What a fucking privilege.
A lot of fans on the pre match threads and match day threads woman and woman, and don't seem to realise we used to be like Villa or Middlesboro or Fulham for years. Just another team making up the numbers and never doing anything ever. Just a bunch of also-rans for decades with the odd nice result to make us happy, but largely failure and endless false hope with "Forward with Franny" and Thai "Frank Sinatra", Sven Goran Eriksson, etc etc ...
Sorry. Feeling quite emotional today, maybe due to beer but I think mainly due to realising how amazing we truly are right now. What a privilege to be a City fan, even if it did take me 40 years to see it. What a privilege.
Community Shield. League Cup. Prem Champions. FA Cup Winners. A UK clean sweep that we likely won't see again for a very very long time, if ever. Never ever imagined as a kid sitting at Maine Road that we'd ever see anything like this. What a day. What a fucking day. So proud. So happy. So drunk.
Thanks lads. Thanks Pep. Thanks City staff. When Pep says we will be better and stronger next season makes me wonder how that is even possible.
History makers. Thanks City, for making this old fart so happy.
