Peps mindgames.I haven't read anything official about KDB, Grealish or Dias being injured. Is this just speculation because they didn't play in meaningless games or do people actually know something? KDB has obviously been knackered at the ends of matches recently so it would have been stupid not to rest him. Grealish has been getting mugged on the pitch every match so risking him would have been dumb too. Dias and Rodri also needed a rest, Pep knows what he's doing.
For the record, I've seen Pep's comments about them prior to Brentford. He said if they needed the points they'd have played and he also said he expects them to be ready for the scum. I figure this is just Pep deploying a little gamesmanship.
Ain't happening that's why many have been rested.I don’t know if Pep is playing silly buggers with the press but his injury update is quite concerning. Dias hasn’t trained for 10 days, KDB is “doubtful” and Grealish and Akanji have niggles. Generally the players are physically and mentally exhausted.
We have seen from the last three games that our squad is nowhere near as deep as the media would have you believe and I really don’t want us to go up against the Rags with anything like the side we put out against Brentford yesterday.
