Only jossing. With a passion, I fucking hate Liverpool.
But I'm also a balanced, sensible human.
That was a penalty.

You should watch it again and just watch what Kompany does to the QPR defender and tell me it wouldn’t have been disallowed...Yeah but it wouldn't have been disallowed though.
I do.
It should never have been referred in the first place.
All the criteria has been changed.
That's not really the point. You'll NEVER be able to celebrate and cheer a goal again without the ref reviewing it on a TV first. It completely transforms the euphoria of a goal celebration which is the best part of a game
There won't be. There won't be any shirt pulling either.
Well, no. I'm against it's implementation at the moment because VAR is not the next step to removing mistakes from officials.
Actually making them accountable for their mistakes is what has to happen; as ludicrous as that is to have to say as it's not currently what happens.
Referees don't need more help, they don't need more training, more respect. They're wrapped in untold layers of cotton wool at the moment and this is just a lazy excuse to give them not only more of the limelight in games but yet another "safety net".
If an official's job the following week was at stake each match, their match fee/wage, they'd give a few more fucks as to how they went about things. If they acknowledged that fans don't pay to watch them, they'd stop putting themselves in the headlines. If they communicated with the players and were held accountable to them instead of shushing and ignoring them, they'd produce better informed decisions.
Referees are there to facilitate a game of football, not dictate it.
VAR at the moment, with the standard of refereeing in this league, is the equivalent of McDonald's offering a delivery service. It makes things easier for some people but doesn't help them better themselves.
I don’t even think that was a penalty, Salah is an absolute tart. How that makes both his hands go up is beyond me.
Always the victim.
I don't agree. If we have the technology use it to get the correct decisions. Like they do in every other sport. That should be the overriding factor. I agree it's too slow and the guy in front of the monitor should be empowered to make a quick decision, without this bullshit of the ref going to a monitor.
You mean if defenders think they won't get away with it, or their coaches think that? Yes, it'll be a thing of the past. How do you mean? Shirt pulling will be a thing of the past?
I will be mad if it's used in our games and we get a bad defiside regardkwre
4 minutes is too long. 2 is about right.
Football fans are going to have to change their mentality for this to work.
There will always be a wait. Just like rugby.
I have absolutely no fucking issue with that so long as it gets rid of the shite comical decisions.
Correct. if it's not obvious from a quick viewing, the decision on the pitch should stand.
If they need 3 mins to review it, then it's not an obvious mistake.
It was the right call though.
