FA Cup Games 27/28 Jan & 6/7 Feb replays

Remember how we felt when Arsenal beat us in the semi last season... that's a cup final we would have been in if VAR would have been in situ

Only IF and its the big IF in all this, the ref has the honesty to look at it and say yes, i've made a mistake.

In this current form its open to abuse of the very worst kind.

So will folk stop watching then? Thought not.

That's not really the point. You'll NEVER be able to celebrate and cheer a goal again without the ref reviewing it on a TV first. It completely transforms the euphoria of a goal celebration which is the best part of a game

Yeah but it would have been given. Would people really have cared after five minutes?

'Oh we've won our first title in 44 years. But that goal going to VAR has just ruined this season!'
But the Dzeko goal might well have been disallowed and then the Sergio goal would never have happened and what a tragedy that would have been. VAR can do one, I’m afraid.

Seriously, people are threatening to not watch the football anymore because the decision took 4 minutes? Lol!

It wouldn’t have been so bad if they’d made the decisions as quickly as McPointy did. He had one replay each time and called them all right and I gave Barry offside on the original footage.

I really don’t want to see things like that given. He would never have got to the ball. Salah should be booked for fucking diving. If you start giving fouls for that then there will be a penalty at every corner.
There won't be. There won't be any shirt pulling either.

It is because it's a reffing mistake.

The var should only be for real shocking decisions not a marginal offside or a routine shirt pull, half of which are not given.

If WBA's 3rd goal had been one toe offside, it would have been cancelled out.

All the people backing this are going to be fucking gutted if it stays with us in this form.

I don't agree. If we have the technology use it to get the correct decisions. Like they do in every other sport. That should be the overriding factor. I agree it's too slow and the guy in front of the monitor should be empowered to make a quick decision, without this bullshit of the ref going to a monitor.
