FA Cup Games | 3rd Round | 4/5/6/7/8 Jan '24

Is 14 miles apart too far to be considered a derby?

try asking that to either set of fans ;-)
Of course it's not a derby; a proper derby is a game between two clubs from the same city.* it's a rivalry. The more sensible fans from either side would admit that.

Not sure how many "sensible" fans will be around today, mind.

*Yes; I know. Utd aren't in Manchester.

That FA Cup Final win over the Rags was my favourite moment of last season.

Conveniently brushed under the carpet by the media. Could you imagine what it would have been like if we had lost!

This might warm your cockles!

Hard for one city teams tbf so regional derbies are fine for them inho.
stupid things like rags/red scouuce or madrid/barca are not a derby in any sense though.

Be good to see Sunderland back up and these games

It can’t be that black and white. Barnet vs Charlton can’t be classed as a derby, yet are in the same city.
