FA Cup Games 4/5/6 Feb '22

No different to what Salah did against Villa but he got the penalty.
That, I think was a typical " Platoon" dive. Then the Villa had a penalty turned down. That gave them another three points, along with the three points given when they played Crystal Palace. Their" history " just like their red neighbours is made up of a succession of similarly dubious decisions.

Darren England on Var, the perfect guy as he has no backbone and never makes a call. Well they got away with a blatant red card in the 1st half v Leicester in the Carabu cup and not a penalty in the FA Cup. Evens itself out we are told of course
Another myth to go along with " the table doesn't lie " and " Earned not Bought " they already made up six points with decisions against City in the Southampton game, for them against Villa and Crystal Palace , then similar decisions in the Leicester game in the cup, again with the following game against Arsenal when the Arsenal player was sent off and again today against Cardiff.

They're good at what they do but what they do isn't particularly skillful or special. Also helps when you get every decision going your way.
It's interesting that they should score straight after the refusal to issue a red card, after the penalty being turned down previously. It's almost as if Cardiff players lost heart with those decisions thinking they weren't going to be allowed to compete and the result had already been decided. Then some wonder why the opposition turn up against City but not against certain teams in red.

Another game where the red scousers benefit from decisions,is it a coincidence that with the rags not involved in any chase for trophies now the red scousers start getting a helping hand ..
I don't think it's a coincidence. After thirty years, it was uncanny how the demise of one coincided with the return of the other.

More like a nice draw for Boreham Wood!

Borehamwood high st this weekend. Bloody half and half stuff.

Darren England on Var, the one who may as well not be there. The one who booked 3 of our players at Swindon. We now have him as Ref v Brentford and then he is back on Var for Dippers v Leicester. Nothing to see here of course with him being involved in our game and 2 Dipper games in the space of a week
I’ve noticed that as well how certain officials seem to have at least two games, usually involving the teams at the top.

Makes no sense to be in Manchester and then travel to Stockley Park.

There will always be "grafters" or opportunists who will make money out of any situation.
Don't know much about Boreham Wood F.C. - but they would have made a fortune out of selling these scarfs and other merchandise out of the biggest game in their history.
Manchester (probably, historically, due to the Cheetham Hill area making all sorts of stuff) was a major source of Snidey gear.
Go to any gig in the North West and there'll be Manc Lads/Lasses selling merch that's much cheaper than the stuff sold inside...
