FA Cup Games | Quarter-Finals | 18/19 March '23

I bet the Blackburn manager is regretting those subs now. Comfortable at 2-1 and pretty much concede straight away with neither of the subs doing a great job on the equalising goal.

Huh? There is no defender that stops the Grimsby player if he nicks the ball past Sanchez, which he likely does if the keeper doesn’t obviously handle the ball outside of the box.

Keepers left foot is inside the box, his right foot is in front of his left and straddles the line, and both his hands are holding the ball outside the box and in front of both feet. How come he is still on the pitch?

Football is so corrupt

Yeah but if you show the still from about half a second later the forward is trying to knock the ball in the direction of the corner flag and that defender is back behind the ‘keeper. Plus, they do tend to give the goalie any benefit of the doubt in those situations.

Why would you even consider anything after the point at which the offence is committed?

Even if he knocks it toward the corner flag, the goal is gaping and no defender is getting back to cover goal. All the Grimsby player would have to do is pass it in to goal. None of the defenders are covering, thus Sanchez is last man and handles the ball outside of the box.

Red card.

Not sure how you can defend this nondecision. Literally all evidence contradicts it.

How are the commentators not seeing what happened there? Sanchez his own keeper clipped the back of his head as he took the corner, you could even see Sanchez explain it to the physio.
